A History of Arnot Medical Services
Arnot Medical Services (AMS) is a multi-specialty physician group practice established in 1972 as a small primary care group.
In 2014, the practice was re-organized as Arnot Medical Services, PLLC, a non-profit tax exempt entity that continues to be affiliated with Arnot Health and is led by a physician President with an internally elected advisory board.
Affiliated with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and accredited by the American Osteopathic Association, Arnot Health is one of the largest graduate education training sites dedicated to osteopathic medicine.
AMS physicians have the opportunity to participate in Graduate Medical Education (GME) with faculty appointments, precepting and teaching opportunities. Our training programs include 3rd and 4th year medical students. Our current list of Residency and Fellowship programs are as follows:
- Family Medicine
- Internal Medicine
- Emergency Medicine
- General Surgery
Arnot Medical Services encourages its providers to contribute to the education and preparation of tomorrow’s physicians.
The AMS Primary Care network is located throughout Chemung, Steuben and Schuyler Counties in NY and Bradford County in PA. In addition to benefiting from a primary referral source, our medical and surgical sub-specialist travel to many of these offices. Our Walk-In-Care practice network serves patients seeking non-emergent care throughout the region.
As healthcare evolves, the organization is focusing on the establishment of value based medicine through its Patient Centered Medical Homes. Currently the majority of our Primary Care practices are PCMH recognized. AMS strives to continue to be an attractive place for Physicians and Advanced Practitioners to work together while continuously improving measureable outcomes for our patients.
If you are a physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner who shares our core values and appreciates a balanced quality of life, we would like to meet you.
