Arnot Health, in association with the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) Wilmot Cancer Center, is recruiting for a medical oncologist (hematology/oncology) to provide care at the Falck Cancer Center in Elmira, NY. Serving the patients of the Twin Tiers region of Upstate NY and Northeastern PA, the provider will have the opportunity to join URMC’s regional cancer program at Arnot's Falck Cancer Center based in Elmira, New York. The successful candidate will join a team of URMC faculty (Hematology & Oncology) who are working collaboratively with Arnot Health to provide world-class cancer care to patients in the region. Delivering a broad range of diagnostic and treatment options, the regional center of excellence offers skilled, specialty care unavailable elsewhere in the region. Arnot Health is also affiliated with the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, accredited by the American Osteopathic Association. Faculty positions at AOMC and URMC are available. Candidates with a passion for teaching are of special interest.

The James P. Wilmot Cancer Center, a component of Strong Memorial Hospital, is the Wilmot Cancer Institute's flagship location. This 84-bed cancer center offers patients and their families comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, and it is home to one of upstate New York’s largest blood and marrow transplant programs. As the region's leader in cancer research, Wilmot Cancer Center maintains a large network of clinical trials that offer new therapies and options that may not be available anywhere else upstate. In addition, Wilmot's team of scientists have laboratories in the building and across the University of Rochester Medical Center campus. They investigate many aspects of cancer, and their proximity allows them to collaborate with physicians to provide cutting-edge, precision cancer care.

The Falck Cancer Center combines state-of-the-art medical technologies with compassionate care in a comfortable atmosphere. A full range of services and specialists are dedicated to providing timely and expert care within the facility and through the adjoining inpatient cancer care unit at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Coordination of radiation and medical therapies makes appointments convenient for cancer patients and their families.
